Insurance and Protection
Every car booked with Audi on demand includes fully comprehensive insurance provided by Aviva.

Insurance Criteria
In order to qualify for insurance and book an Audi on demand car you must meet the following criteria:

  • be at least 21 or 25 years of age, depending on the insurance group of the vehicle. Please see the insurance excess charges section below for more detail.
  • have held a full and valid driving licence applicable to the specific vehicle booked, for not less than twelve (12) months
  • have no more than eight (8) penalty points on your current driving licence
  • not have received a driving ban within the last three (3) years
  • have no more than two (2) fault claims in the last three (3) years
  • not have any prosecutions or police enquiries pending
  • not fall within any of the following professional restrictions: entertainers, non-UK armed forces, students or sports personnel (whether professional, semi-professional  or full time amateur)

Please note that if you have a driving licence issued from an English, Scottish or Welsh authority then an automated driving licence check will be carried out during the online booking process. If you have a European or International driving licence, you will be required to provide a second form of ID such as a passport or ID card and be asked to confirm that you meet the insurance criteria during the handover process.

Insurance Coverage

Included for the mainland UK:

  • Vehicle damage and theft
  • Personal belongings (theft or damage) up to a maximum of £150
  • Public and third party liability
  • Legal liability

Insurance Excess Charges
The following excess charges apply based on the driver age and the specific vehicle booked.

 

Insurance Group A (ABI 1-37)
Minimum age to drive: 21 years
Insurance excess: £500 for ages 21-24 years / £250 for ages 25 years and over

Insurance Group B (ABI 38-50)
Minimum age to drive: 25 years
Insurance excess: £250
 

Insurance Group C (S-models, Q7)
Minimum age to drive: 25 years
Insurance excess: £1000
 

A1 Sportback (Insurance group A)
Insurance excess: £500 for ages 21-24 and £250 for ages 25 and over

A3 Sportback and A3 Saloon (Insurance group A)
Insurance excess: £500 for ages 21-24 and £250 for ages 25 and over
 

S3 Sportback and S3 Saloon (Insurance group C)
Insurance excess: £1000 for ages 25 and over

A4 Saloon (Insurance group A)
Insurance excess: £500 for ages 21-24 and £250 for ages 25 and over
 

A4 allroad (Insurance group A)
Insurance excess: £500 for ages 21-24 and £250 for ages 25 and over
 

A5 Coupe (insurance group B)
Insurance excess: £250 for ages 25 and over
 

A5 Sportback (Insurance group B)

Insurance Key Exclusions

  • Any claims arising from an accident occurred outside of the mainland UK.
  • Damage or body injury while an insured vehicle is:

       a) being driven or used other in accordance with the terms of the Certificate of Motor Insurance
       b) being driven by any person who does not hold a licence to drive the insured vehicle
       c) being used airside or at any high risk premises

  • Theft or damage to personal belongings

        a) from an open top vehicle
        b) from a vehicle which has not been securely locked or is incapable of being securely locked
        c) items such as money, stamps, tickets, documents, securities, tools, trade goods or samples
        d) if indemnity is provided under any other policy


Vehicle Condition Report

To offer a peace of mind, our Audi on demand concierge will complete a vehicle condition report form at the start and end of your booking.  Each time, it is important that you inspect the vehicle and agree to the condition of the vehicle with a signature. If additional damage occurred during your booking, the Audi Centre will evaluate the cost of the damage and a separate invoice will be raised confirming any charges owed, up to 30 days following the end of your booking.

Accident and Theft
In the unfortunate event of an accident, you should:

  • Contact the emergency services on 999 if anyone is injured
  • Make sure the vehicle is secure. If you deem or are unsure if the vehicle is road worthy please contact 24 hour Audi roadside assistance on 0800 699 9999
  • Write down the names and addresses of everyone involved, including witnesses
  • Inform the Audi on demand team on 0161 627 7123 or 08000 930 138


If the vehicle is stolen, you should inform the police on 999 immediately and notify the Audi on demand team within 24 hours of the incident on 0161 627 7123 or 08000 930 138.
